Package Information
Tandem Skydive
Tandem skydive allows first-time jumpers to
experience the thrill and
excitement of the sport without the preparation and knowledge
required for a solo jump. It only takes 20 minutes of training after
which you will free-fall harnessed to a highly skilled instructor from
over two miles above the earth, reaching speeds of up to 120 miles an
hour. At the safe altitude of 5,000 feet the instructor will deploy the
main chute. If you choose, you can activate the parachute yourself,
and then take in the view the San Joquin Valley on your way down.
The Tranquil six minute parachute ride will allow plenty of time to
practice landing techniques insuring a soft landing.
Accelerated Freefall (AFF)
A four to six hour ground school prepares you
for your first AFF
jump. You will jump from over two miles above the earth accompanied
by two jumpmasters while wearing your own parachute system. After
approximately one minute of free-fall, you will pull your ripcord and fly
your parachute coached by an instructor over the radio. This program
involves seven levels of instruction and is the quickest way to become
a licensed skydiver.
Skysurfing
Our skysurfing program is geared towards those
experienced
skydivers who would like to try skysurfing and possibly continue in
this discipline.
In addition, we offer a program for students who have completed the
AFF course and a training schedule with proper coaching and
instruction that prepares them for their first jump.
We require a minimum of 100 jumps to
begin the skysurfing our
program. Twenty-five sit fly,
free fly, or free style jumps are also
required. This ensures that the participant can safely control and
maneuver vertical positions.
Each participant must have a rig with a BOC throw-out. We will not
allow pullouts or leg throw-outs for safety reasons.
We provide 34-inch training boards for beginners. Transition to the
intermediate board is accomplished only after mastering the
trainer board.
Free Fly
The free fly school at Skydive Taft is geared towards
experienced
skydivers as well as those who have completed the AFF certification
course. Our program is designed to teach skydivers the basics of
free fly. With the proper coaching and instruction, students will be
able to sit fly as well as fly vertical. |
