If you are tired to wait 8 weeks or more to get your jump suits or just want to buy cheap stuff, I got a tip for you: the guy is Dave. He presently ships internationally in 3 weeks but told me he would change it to 2 weeks. He's got hoodies, caps, T's, handy cam gloves, camera soxs, jump suits, wing camera jackets, free fly suits and shorts swoop pants. Prices: remember everything is in New Zealand dollars (worth about 2/3 of USD) and much cheaper than Bev or Tonysuit. He's got classic just-pick-one designs but I saw him do special stuff on request. If you're still not convinced it's a good deal, all the drop zones around here go to him and have him do the jump suits for all their staff. So for more info, contact: David Winterburn [email protected]Phone: +64 07 3767136 Fax: + 64 07 3767142 The guy is in Taupo New Zealand

The logos (name) on the side of the plane were changed by the DZO. In short we tore off part of the old name, leaving the work "Skydive" and added Taft to the end.

OK, I will attempt to reply to all the above.
Calendar of Events: This is located on the main menu of the website. This was displayed as a mini-calendar on the right side of the page but took up too much space.
Forum software: Yeah I looked at some othe packages but for all it was worth I settled on this package.
Webcam: Oh man this is a touchy one. I like the idea of a webcam but this presents some problems. I hardware and software are easy but the "things that skydivers may do in front of a camera" is the problem. We all know that once the beer light is on things happen. These things are generally not appropriate for Joe Wuffo to see and the decision was made to nix the camera.
Gallery: I put up every picture I get. More pics will be added as they are given to me.

Hey, that's right! maybe the Taft crowd is not too high on computers Nice website though, DT. Did you change the paintings on the plane though? Sorry I don't know about that. I'm not coming coming any more. It's a bit far from New Zealand. But I'll be back!! (next year)

well, i havent been out to the drop zone in awhile due to work, but im rick colvins son if that helps, the site is a major upgrade fromt the previous one, but i do have one suggestion, id say use phpbb instead of smf as the forum software as phpbb is more secure and optimized for a faster load up and less work on the server side! My forum at www.wiredxaos.net/edge is a good example of how I have mine set up! also i think the forum banner could be spiced up a bit, but if you need anyone to help as far as web design or gfx im experienced, just hit me up!

I used to jump there in the late 1970's.a twin beech out of van nuys .a one eyed pilot named "spike" he used to eat a carrot before take off at nite. I wont go into further details---but we threw the empties out---over ----well never mind.the name here is eric.its been so long ----some of you old timers may remember me. I (had) a brother that jumped there too.so I got outta jumpin cuz I bought a bote.not juss'that----I sailed it across the pacific several times.after spending 13 years in florida(wutz left of it} I got the kcuf outta there an' got back inta ----well I be D-18325.I did some jumpin in west palm----and other partsa florida.I wuz livin on a 30 foot sloop but the storms jus' keep gettin worse and worse.can you say "abandon ship?" so I got my reserve repacked and now I am back into this-----I am relocating back to california soon and will stop by.from what I can remember that was a no shull-bit landing area----a raised berm---looked like a bulls-eye from altitude----needed to ride back by truck---not at the same altitude as the runway.a few names I remember---richard roll, mike regester---ron shipe and his dog "bumpy", mike tulysumpinoranother, bill newell, got my scr(8012) with a guy named dar robinson---I think the cessna 185 was piloted by the sheriff---art armstrong----there is/was a bar called the lamplite----or something like that---dave olsen---I also remember a visiting lockheed lodestar that had an engine that kept stalling out----this was in the late 70's---a long time ago---people still had chest mounted reserves---that brings to mind a guy named "stinson"also a real short guy that was an IRS agent---forgot his name but he was on a tv show called "thats incredible" for doing then what is now called base jumping---from a truck going across that brigde ----now famous for "bridge day".any way I will be sure to jump there occaisionally but I am very conservative.back in my day there was no VRW."tandem" meant both canopies were on your back---"pig rig" comes to memory.there was "centry sentinals"---no cypress----3 rings were just coming on to the scene---otherwize it was "shot-n-a-half" capewells.the "cruiseair" was the controversial 5 celled reserve.there were stratostars and stratoclouds and PC's and 'dactyls.man----so much has changed----but the result of impact remains the same.
