Free first-jump ground school with option to purchase skydive

Learn to Skydive for Free! (registration required)
May is the U.S. Parachute Association’s Learn to Skydive month! Skydive Taft will host a free first-jump ground training class for those interested in learning to skydive. A U.S. Parachute Association-certified instructor will teach the 6-hour course, which will include all the basics for making a solo skydive. You’ll learn about equipment, aircraft, how to exit, what you’ll need to do in freefall, how to open and land your parachute, emergency procedures and more. And all at zero cost to you! If you decide you want to make your first skydive, you’ll have the option for a tandem or solo jump. You’ll then pay for the air portion of the jump and additional hands-on training before taking to the sky.
Anyone 18 or older may sign up to participate. Whether you’ve always wanted to skydive or just want to learn more about the sport, now is your chance! Slots are limited, so reserve yours now! (For those who want to jump following the ground school, additional weight and health requirements apply.)
